Job Advertisement: Assistant at the Department of Chemistry - Ångström

The Department of Chemistry - Ångström conducts research and education in the field of chemistry.

The department has more than 270 employees and generates over 300 million SEK in revenue. The six programs at the department conduct highly successful research of international caliber. We have a large number of externally funded research projects, often with international collaboration, and we see continued good growth in our field. Job Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include assisting with the development, maintenance, and documentation of the atomic machine learning code PiNN.

Qualifications

To be employed as an assistant, it is a requirement that you are admitted to education at the undergraduate or graduate level.

The applicant must have:

• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Programming skills in Python.

Desirable/meritorious qualifications

• Previous experience in machine learning applications within molecular modeling, including experience with PiNN (GitHub link (https://github.com/Teoroo-CMC/PiNN/)).

About the Employment

The employment is temporary for four months according to HF 5 chap § 12. The scope is 25%. Start date is 2026-03-01 or by agreement. Place of employment: Uppsala
