Do you enjoy structure, clear boundaries, and a functioning everyday life – but also laughter, engagement, and little gems that make the job meaningful?

We are now looking for a personal assistant on a permanent basis for approximately 80–100% for a soon-to-be 14-year-old girl. She is strong-willed, humorous, and full of energy, and has neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities, a gastrostomy, and type 1 diabetes. She has a great need for predictability, clarity, and secure adults around her. When things are at their best, she is wonderful to be with.

Horses are a big part of her life. She is at the stable several times a week, and riding brings her joy, motivation, and recovery. Therefore, it is a big plus if you have experience with horses, stable work, or simply share her interest and enjoy that environment.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a female assistant aged 20–40 who wants to build a long-term relationship. You are self-assured, patient, and can remain calm even when situations become chaotic, intense, or emotionally charged.

You need to be:

• Attentive, flexible, and able to adapt to someone else's daily condition and needs

• Structured and solution-oriented, with the ability to create clarity and security

• Comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions in everyday life

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement, as the job demands clear, consistent, and situation-adapted communication

• Have a driver's license and access to a car

Experience in care or support is an advantage but not decisive. Personal chemistry, attitude, and commitment are the most important. We will teach you the medical and practical aspects.

About the job

The work is entirely based on her needs and varies between care, structure, and shared activities. It may involve personal hygiene, tube feeding, medication, and diabetes care, but also supporting communication, creating calm during transitions, and contributing to a functioning everyday life.

You will accompany her where life happens – at school, home, in the stable, at hospital visits, concerts, festivals, and other activities that enhance her quality of life. As an assistant, you are both a practical support and a secure person who helps her navigate everyday life.

About the position

• Permanent position approximately 80–100% according to agreement.

• Working hours 09:00–19:15 and 19:00–07:15

• Evening shifts 19:00–23:00 may occur

• Rotating schedule with day, evening, night, and weekend shifts

• Some flexibility is needed to meet her needs and wishes

We offer

• Secure and long-term employment with a collective agreement through Fremia

• Salary 150–180 SEK/hour excluding holiday pay and OB, depending on age, education, and experience

• Wellness allowance

• Opportunity for training in neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities

Application

Send a few lines about yourself and explain why you would be suitable for the role.

Applications should be sent to: [email protected]
