The Role of Preparedness Coordinator

As a preparedness coordinator, you will work at a strategic level to strengthen Region Jönköping County's ability to manage crises and heightened preparedness. You will play a central role in coordinating, developing, and monitoring the work of Region Jönköping County in preparedness.

In your role, you will:

• Drive, coordinate, and further develop Region Jönköping County's work in crisis preparedness and civil defense.
• Participate in the work with risk and vulnerability analysis and contribute to identifying and managing critical dependencies.
• Participate in the development of Region Jönköping County's war organization and ensure that structures and processes are appropriate.
• Support operations in continuity management to strengthen their ability to maintain essential societal functions.
• Plan and conduct training, exercises, and lectures to raise the knowledge level within the organization.

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Jönköping. The position involves travel and requires a B driver's license. Since the role is classified in a security class, Swedish citizenship and a passed security screening according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) are required before taking up the position.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university degree in crisis preparedness, political science, business development, or another education deemed equivalent.
• Has experience in strategic development work.
• Has experience working with preparedness.
• Has experience planning and conducting exercises or lectures.
• Has good pedagogical skills and can convey knowledge in a clear and inspiring way.
• Is structured, collaborative, and has an easy time creating and maintaining trusting relationships.
