I am 46 years old and live with my husband, son, and a tangled puppy in Huddinge, south of Stockholm. For the most part, I live the best life: with a villa, a Volvo, and work as a journalist, author, and speaker (as well as a parent around the clock…)

But: Even Madonna is nothing without her makeup artists, songwriters, sound engineers, and backup dancers. And I, who am nearly paralyzed after a riding accident, am completely dependent on personal assistance with most things: like moving me, eating, going to the bathroom – and packing the gym bag for our thirteen-year-old, flipping through DN during the sacred morning coffee time, and touching up my mascara before a new concert with the choir I sing in.

A completely ordinary life, then, with a few extraordinary conditions. That’s where you come in!

You are the engine of my life. You are super-focused, attentive, meticulous – and you probably never give up, not even when the stone falls on your head. You will know how I want my makeup, my heating pads, and my shower water, as well as hear my tone when I am stressed, delighted, irritated with my husband, tired, and burdened by ailments that I am desperately trying to mask. Above all, you understand your own significance for me to maintain my social roles – to be a mom, wife, friend, colleague, and daughter. Among other things.

However, you really don’t need to have worked in healthcare or similar. I don’t need any medical help. But you understand that the job is very physical!

The job works great for you who freelance, study, have a horse, or anything else you want to fit into your life. The workdays will vary – the most common is that we work in full-day shifts, 15 hours at a time (7–22 or 8–23), which corresponds to about 2–3 shifts a week for full-time. This position corresponds to 2 days (30 hours) a week. And a driver’s license is required! The division is that you drive, and I switch the radio.
