The Disability Care Services are looking for 1 support assistant for the group home Mariatorget in Värnamo, with a focus on psychiatry.

Do you want to help develop our operations and work to support individual independence? We work recovery-oriented with our clients and use the methods ESL (an independent life) and MI (motivational interviewing). Having a strong client focus is essential. We are looking for a new team member who wants to make a difference in people's lives. You are committed, flexible, secure, and stable. You can work both independently and in a team, and you are open to challenges and development work.

The working hours are scheduled day/evening/on-call and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

To provide support and service according to the individual needs and wishes of the clients according to implementation plans. You will perform everyday, planned support measures and activities together with the client. The support measures should promote the client's integrity, participation, and be carried out with respect for the client's self-determination. The client's needs should be at the center, and the person's views should be actively taken into account. The client should receive support and the right to decide over their life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivating approach in close collaboration with the client's network and other staff.

The responsibilities also include habilitation, IT-based documentation and administration, as well as delegated health and medical tasks.

Qualifications

Care and nursing program with a focus on disability area, nursing assistant, child and leisure program with a focus on social or educational work, or other equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent, as well as good computer skills.

Experience working in social psychiatry/psychiatry is an advantage, as well as knowledge of recovery-oriented working methods, ESL, and MI.

Personal suitability is of utmost importance.

Conditions

Before an offer of employment, a certificate from the police's criminal record must be presented.

Approved grades in Swedish.
