Our Operations

The Department of Psychiatry at Akademiska sjukhuset is organized into four subspecialized sections, including the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry. In this section, there are two wards: 4A focused on addiction/pain and general psychiatric conditions, and 4B focused on withdrawal/acute addiction conditions. In outpatient care, we have the Addiction Medicine Clinic, Neuropsychiatric Clinic, LARO Clinic, and psychiatric clinics in Enköping and Norduppland.

We operate outpatient care in the Northern region with facilities in Tierp and Gimo.

Your Mission

As a junior doctor with us in outpatient care in the Northern region, you will work with psychiatric diagnostics and treatment of the conditions for which patients are cared for. Together with specialists, nurses, caregivers, psychologists, and social workers, you will be responsible for our patients. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop through stimulating meetings with patients and colleagues as well as through supervision. Together, we create a developing and challenging workplace.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with a broad and genuine interest in psychiatry. In your work, you always put the patient in focus. You have good communication skills. You should be humble, responsible, curious, and meticulous. Previous experience in psychiatry is an advantage. If this describes you, psychiatry in the Northern region may be the right challenge for you. With supervision from specialists, you will also have the opportunity to gain experience and competence that is assessed when applying for a ST position. You will also have the opportunity to participate in our on-call activities, which are shared across the entire Department of Psychiatry at Akademiska sjukhuset.

We Offer

We offer fixed-term positions until 2026-08-31. Full-time position. Start date by agreement. Prior to employment, extracts from suspicion and criminal records will be obtained.
