AT at Academic Hospital

AT in Region Uppsala is conducted at Academic Hospital and within primary care throughout Uppsala County.

Twelve months of service is conducted at Academic Hospital and six months at one of the health centers in the county.

We are now announcing eleven AT blocks for 18 months of service. The block includes:

• internal medicine specialties 4.5 months
• surgical specialties 4.5 months
• psychiatry 3 months
• general medicine 6 months

Your qualifications

You who apply must have a medical degree certificate upon appointment.

Meritorious

Up to six months of clinical experience as a substitute doctor is meritorious in this recruitment. Previous experience of working in Region Uppsala is meritorious. Other relevant experience of working in health care may also be meritorious. Pedagogical experiences and/or research experience are meritorious.

Your competence

We are looking for someone who is interested in working clinically at a university hospital and also gaining experience in primary care. As a person, you are meticulous and structured. You are also flexible, have good collaboration skills, and judgment. We recruit for the future and would like you who apply to continue to develop in Region Uppsala after your AT.

Your application should include:

• Medical degree certificate, if you have received your medical degree, otherwise it must be submitted to the AT unit before an employment contract can be issued
• CV that shows your education and experience
• Three references
• Certificate of service that verifies your previous experience. Other certificates may be accepted provided they contain the period (year-month-day – yy-mm-dd) and extent and are signed
• Certificate verifying any pedagogical experience or research experience
• If you have a foreign medical degree, you must attach a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare to do general service, AT. Certificate of language skills in Swedish equivalent to Swedish C1/Swedish as a second language 3 must also be attached

Interviews will be conducted at Academic Hospital during week 12, 2026. The start of service is planned for week 36, 2026. In this recruitment, we plan to hire eleven AT doctors.
