Our 1800 employees work with close care and health in Uppsala County. We offer a wide range of services within primary care. Our patients meet us at Region Uppsala's own health centers or within habilitation, and we provide advice by phone via 1177. We are looking for

We are looking for a midwife who has commitment and drive to develop together with us. We currently offer a temporary position at 50% starting as soon as possible or by agreement, until December 31, 2026.

Your assignment

Your tasks will consist of reception work at our youth clinic. As a midwife, you will primarily work with young people's sexual and reproductive health. This includes contraceptive counseling, contraceptive prescriptions, STI testing, and contact tracing, as well as counseling and examinations based on questions about lifestyle and body. In addition to physical visits to the youth clinic, young people can receive advice via phone, 1177.se, and the 1177 direct chat. Health-promoting, outreach, and proactive work in the form of school information is an important part of the job. The target group is young people and young adults aged 12-22 years.

We continuously work to develop the operations and believe that job satisfaction, a reasonable workload, and well-being are the way to long-term sustainability and a health-promoting workplace. With us, you will work closely with all professions at the health center. In addition to regular staff, several psychologists and social workers, psychiatric nurses, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, and dietitians work here.

Your competence

You who are applying are a licensed midwife with prescribing rights. Experience working in primary care and at a youth clinic is an advantage.

In the recruitment, we emphasize personal qualities and suitability and see that you as an applicant have a good overall view, can work independently, and have good collaboration skills. You are a skilled communicator in Swedish both orally and in writing. The work is independent, so it is important that you are good at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in an effective and flexible manner. We also collaborate with many other actors, so with us, you will benefit from your ability to collaborate and your willingness to continuously develop the operations you work in.

Our operations

The youth clinic in Gottsunda is part of Gottsunda Health Center. We have three midwives, two doctors, and two social workers working with us. Gottsunda Health Center belongs to the department of Close Care and Health in Region Uppsala. The health center has approximately 13,800 registered patients and we are a total of about 70 employees. The operations are broad and all professional areas within the health center's mission are represented. We work in newly built premises in Gottsunda center, in the southwestern part of Uppsala. There are good parking facilities right by the clinic and also good bus connections.

What distinguishes us is a good work climate based on diversity and that we are particularly passionate about the vulnerable in society. Many of our patients come from other countries and cultures, which we believe makes working with us particularly varied and interesting.
