See parts of our reality in our photo exhibition; akademiskafotoutstallning.se (http://akademiskafotoutstallning.se). Welcome with your application!

Do you want to develop in your professional role as a nurse and are interested in surgical care? Now you have the opportunity for professional development and academic studies during paid working hours. Akademiska sjukhuset offers the possibility of study salary for nurses accepted into the specialist nursing program in surgical care. After completing and passing the specialist training, you will be employed as a specialist nurse in one of our units within the field. After your graduation as a specialist nurse in surgical care, you will work in your position as a specialist nurse in surgical care with clinical guidance and education, conduct nursing rounds, and participate in the development of the operations.

You will be part of a group of specialist nurses within the field who together drive the surgical nursing work and patient safety work forward. The specialist nurses are led in their nursing profession by the nursing leader, and the specialist nurse group has close cooperation and exchange. There is also the opportunity for the specialist nurse to further develop within the role and test new assignments within the field. We also offer the opportunity for more experienced specialist nurses to study to become advanced specialist nurses, known as “Nurse practitioners,” during paid working hours and obtain a master's degree in nursing.

Conditions

The studies are conducted at half-time over two years, and during the study period, you will work clinically as a nurse 50% in the department you are employed in while studying 50%.
