Our Operations

The Psychiatry area at Akademiska sjukhuset is organized into four subspecialized sections, including the section for addiction and neuropsychiatry. The section has two wards: 4A focused on addiction/pain and general psychiatric conditions, and 4B focused on withdrawal/acute addiction conditions.

We are located in modern facilities in the core area of Akademiska sjukhuset, just a short walk from Uppsala Travel Center.

Your Mission

As a junior doctor with us, you will work with psychiatric diagnostics and treatment of the conditions for which patients are cared for. Together with specialist doctors, nurses, caregivers, and social workers, you will be responsible for our patients in the wards. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop through stimulating meetings with patients and colleagues, as well as through supervision. Together, we create a developing and challenging workplace.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a doctor with a degree or license and has a broad and genuine interest in psychiatry. In your work, you always put the patient first. You have good communication skills. You should be humble, responsible, curious, and meticulous. Previous experience in addiction and psychiatry is an advantage. We Offer

We offer fixed-term positions from 2026-06-01 to 2026-08-31. Full-time working hours. Start date by agreement. Prior to employment, extracts from suspicion and criminal records will be taken.
