Our Operations

The Department of Anesthesia, Surgery, and Intensive Care (AnOpIVA) is a comprehensive and high-tech operation that covers a wide range of care needs. Here we conduct anesthesia and surgical operations with associated postoperative departments as well as a sterile technical department.

We are also responsible for intensive care and airborne intensive care.

For children, we offer specialized care through our pediatric section, which includes both pediatric intensive care and pediatric anesthesia and surgical departments, including a recovery unit.

Within the section for anesthesia and surgery (AnOp), we work in four different operating departments within our core area at Uppsala University Hospital. These units are part of the assignment for surgery, orthopedics, operating department ing 95/96, and pediatric surgery.

Your Mission

As a surgical nurse within our competence pool, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills by working in several different departments and meeting a variety of patient categories. An individualized schedule gives you the security of knowing when you work, but the variation in workplaces makes each day an exciting challenge. Here you will have the chance to develop your knowledge.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed specialist nurse in surgery with at least 8 years of experience. You have a broad competence and are secure in your professional role. Experience with journal systems such as Cosmic, Orbit, and MetaVision is an advantage, but your curiosity and ability to adapt to new situations are what we value most.

You are a person who thrives on variety and has a strong ability to collaborate. As part of our competence pool, you work in several teams and meet new colleagues and patients daily. Therefore, your flexibility and ability to adapt quickly are invaluable. You are used to sorting/prioritizing what is important and can make independent decisions. You are attracted by the challenge of always learning new things and are driven by achieving set goals and requirements.
