Pedagogical AT at the Academic Hospital

Pedagogical AT at the Academic Hospital includes twelve months of clinical service at the Academic Hospital, six months of service at one of the county's health centers, and a pedagogical block of three months.

The purpose of a pedagogical AT is to strengthen the healthcare sector's competence and awareness of pedagogical processes and to promote a good educational culture in the long term.

We are now announcing a pedagogical AT block. The block includes:

• internal medicine specialties 4.5 months
• surgical specialties 4.5 months
• psychiatry 3 months
• general medicine 6 months
• pedagogical work 3 months

In the pedagogical block, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of pedagogical processes and apply pedagogical tools. You will work for three months at the Clinical Training Center (KTC) where you will serve as an instructor in interprofessional simulation exercises, conduct CPR courses, and lead seminars/workshops/lectures. At the start of the service, a mentor will be appointed for the pedagogical work and an individual plan for the work will be developed. You who are applying must have a medical degree certificate upon commencement.

Meritorious

Up to six months of clinical experience as a substitute doctor is meritorious in this recruitment. Previous experience of working in Region Uppsala is also meritorious. Other relevant experience in healthcare may also be meritorious. Experience and/or education in the pedagogical field is meritorious, as well as quality and improvement work and research in the pedagogical field.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is interested in working clinically at a university hospital and also gaining experience in primary care. As a person, you are meticulous and structured. You are also flexible, have good teamwork skills, and judgment. As we recruit for the future, we would like you to want to continue developing within Region Uppsala after completing your AT.

Your application should include

• Medical degree certificate, if you have received your medical degree, otherwise it must be submitted to the AT unit before an employment contract can be issued
• CV detailing your education and work experience
• Three references
• A letter of motivation for the pedagogical AT, describing yourself as a pedagogue, your experiences and/or education in the pedagogical field, and what you want to achieve with your pedagogical efforts
• Certificate from the client regarding previous or ongoing pedagogical efforts
• Certificate of any research with a pedagogical focus
• Service certificate confirming your clinical experience. Other certificates may be accepted provided that the period (yy-mm-dd - yy-mm-dd) is indicated and the certificate is signed
• If you have a foreign medical degree, you must attach a decision from the National Board of Health and Welfare to do general service, AT. A certificate of language skills in Swedish equivalent to Swedish C1/Swedish as a second language 3 must also be attached

A possible job offer will be made after a consideration of merits, both clinical and pedagogical, and interviews.

Interviews will be conducted at the Academic Hospital during week 12, 2026. The start of service is planned for week 36, 2026. In this recruitment, we have the opportunity to employ a resident doctor with a focus on pedagogy.
