The Orthopedic Anesthesia and Surgery Department at Uppsala University Hospital needs operating room nurses for summer assignments during the period June 1 (week 23) – August 30 (week 35). Here, you will be offered a developing job in an experienced and dedicated team within orthopedic surgical operations.

About the workplace

The department is responsible for surgical operations within orthopedics and works in close collaboration between operating room nurses, anesthesia nurses, doctors, and other surgical staff. The focus is on high patient safety, good working environment, and professional care of the patient throughout the entire perioperative process.

About the position

As an operating room nurse, you will be responsible for instrumentation, sterile work, and preparations for orthopedic surgeries. You play a central role in the operating room and work both independently and in a team to ensure quality, safety, and a secure patient flow.
