In this role, you will assess work ability, identify adaptation needs, and support job seekers towards increased independence – in an organization where collaboration, quality, and professional interaction are central.
Unit's Mission
Together, we are about 130 employees in the county at two locations, Halmstad and Varberg. Work may occur throughout the Halland unit. Our main mission is to equip, match, and support job seekers on their way to employment and/or studies, as well as support employers in finding workforce and thus contribute to the skills supply in the county. We are now looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist/physiotherapist, for work at the Employment Service. The placement is in Varberg or Halmstad.
Job Description
The occupational therapist's/physiotherapist's interventions at the Employment Service are primarily carried out within the framework of the assignment for work-oriented rehabilitation, which means utilizing and developing the job seeker's resources and skills. The purpose is to facilitate for the job seeker to find, obtain, retain, or return to employment. It is important to emphasize that this does not involve therapeutic rehabilitation.
The work focuses on adaptations around work/study placements based on the results of the labor market policy assessment, where you as an occupational therapist/physiotherapist actively participate in the assessment work. It is about assessing needs and being able to prioritize interventions aimed at employment.
In all contacts with applicants, you have a supportive and guiding approach. You contribute to developing the job seeker's knowledge of their conditions and strengthening motivation and orientation towards work. This occurs through conversations and activity-based assessments, where assessments are made of work ability, adaptation of the work situation, and testing of work aids. You also conduct your own activity-based assessments of work conditions and work ability, as well as review and follow up assessments from external providers, for example within "Steps to Work". The role also involves a lot of collaboration with other agencies such as municipalities and regions. Documentation constitutes an important and large part of the tasks, and you need to be able to navigate in many different systems. You must be able to work independently but also have good collaboration skills.
The authority collaborates extensively with independent actors where the occupational therapist/physiotherapist also has an important role. The Employment Service is undergoing a digital development that permeates all parts of our work, which is why you have both the willingness and ability to utilize digital tools.
Our Offer
The positions refer to a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period as well as a 12-month temporary position. The placement is in Varberg or Halmstad.

Basic Requirements
- License from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding occupational therapist or physiotherapist
- At least two years of work experience as an occupational therapist/physiotherapist
- Driver's license B
Other Qualifications
- Experience of activity-based assessment in assessing work ability
- Experience of working as an occupational therapist/physiotherapist at the Employment Service
- Experience of working in other roles within the Employment Service
