Security Specialist at the Prosecution Authority

The Unit for Operational Security is one of three units within the Security Department and has both strategic and operational responsibilities for employee protection and personal safety.

The Security Department is responsible for supporting the authority in security and preparedness issues by monitoring developments in the field, implementing new processes, and developing existing procedures. The Security Department currently employs 28 staff members. The department is led by the Chief Security Officer, who is part of the authority's management group, and each unit is led by a unit manager.

Your Responsibilities

As a security specialist, primarily functioning as a security driver, you will have the following responsibilities:

• plan, execute, and evaluate the transportation of the authority's management in a safe and secure manner through internal and external collaboration
• work closely with the authority's executive management team in the planning of transports
• be responsible for conference and event security, including planning, execution, and evaluation in collaboration with the unit manager
• conduct risk assessments and protection plans in employee protection matters
• method and process development in collaboration with other staff in the Security Department.

The work is mainly performed in Stockholm, but travel throughout Sweden occurs regularly.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• post-secondary education in a relevant security field, such as police training, officer training, security and surveillance training, or other post-secondary education deemed equivalent by the employer
• several years of experience as a security driver
• several years of experience in personal safety, employee protection, or personal security
• good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
• a valid driver's license (B).

It is an advantage if you have:

• experience in operating emergency vehicles
• experience working with interventions and analyses related to travel and transport security
• experience in event and conference security
• experience working in an authority with high security and confidentiality requirements.

About the Employment

The employment is a permanent position with a probationary period of 6 months.

Tests will be conducted during the recruitment process.

The position is classified in a security class and therefore a security clearance with background check will take place. Swedish citizenship is a requirement for this position.

The Prosecution Authority is a preparedness authority. Upon employment, you may be assigned to the Prosecution Authority in case of war. Read more under Work with us.
