The department's mission is to offer adults guidance and education in lifelong learning. Within the department, there is also guidance and support for adults' individual development towards self-sufficiency. The department is responsible for integration and also coordinates labor market policy measures.
Description
Do you want to be part of a new development-oriented organization that puts the individual's needs, wholeness, and self-sufficiency at the center? Do you want to work both with case management and with individual support that makes a real difference? Then we are looking for you!
The Support Unit is responsible for the social services' financial assistance - society's ultimate safety net - where the mission involves both assessing the right to financial assistance and supporting individuals towards long-term self-sufficiency.
In our new organization, we are developing the work from a traditional case management focus to a coordinated, individual-focused, and goal-oriented approach to create sustainable solutions for the people we meet.
Responsibilities
As a case officer with us, you will work in two parallel and equally prioritized processes:
- In the client-facing work, you will together with the individual create a comprehensive picture of resources, barriers, and needs. Establish, coordinate, and follow up on individual plans aimed at increasing self-sufficiency. You will support, motivate, and guide the individual throughout the process.
- In case management, you will investigate, assess, and decide on financial assistance according to SoL. Ensure legal, equitable, and efficient processing and document according to applicable legislation and local guidelines.
In your workplace, you will have knowledgeable and engaged colleagues. The work will be interdisciplinary, close to colleagues within the unit, but also in collaboration and cooperation with other operations and parties.
In addition to client-facing work and case management, you are expected to participate and contribute to the development work of the organization to achieve set goals.
We also place great value on employee engagement, self-leadership, and participation. You are expected to take responsibility, find solutions, and contribute to good collaborations and a positive work environment.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in social work, behavioral science, or another relevant higher education.
- Experience in public authority operations, preferably within financial assistance and social work.
- Very good ability to work independently, structured, and solution-focused.
- Ability to coordinate and integrate efforts and make holistic assessments based on the individual's life situation.
- Knowledge of SoL.
- Experience in collaboration and knowledge of internal operations in a municipality, e.g., labor market, social psychiatry, and outpatient care, as well as external actors such as AF, FK, and health care from which the client may need support.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Good digital skills are required. You should also have good experience in documenting and expressing yourself well in speech and writing.
We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of and experience with the National Board of Health and Welfare's recommended working tools such as the assessment instrument FIA-Conditions for Work and other standardized assessment methods such as AUDIT/DUDIT and FREDA.
Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) is also an advantage.
In addition, you need to be a reliable person with the ability to make a difference for people in many different vulnerable life situations.
Conditions
The position is a full-time temporary position until December 31, 2026. Start as soon as possible, and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
Welcome with your application! We ask that you submit your application via our recruitment tool on our website. Information on how we handle your personal data can be found here (https://www.forshaga.se/GDPR).
