Job Advertisement: Nurse for Neuropsychiatric Clinic

The psychiatric clinic at Norrland University Hospital in Umeå is the largest psychiatric clinic in Norrland with over 400 employees. We have three general psychiatric wards, forensic psychiatric services, and several specialized outpatient and treatment units.

We are looking for a nurse for the Neuropsychiatric clinic; a psychiatric specialist care clinic that conducts diagnosis and treatment for individuals aged 18 and over with neuropsychiatric diagnoses, where ADHD and autism are the largest patient groups. We work based on national care programs and with a team-based approach, which provides the best conditions for good and safe care.

We work in modern newly built facilities. Here, nurses, social workers, caregivers, psychologists, doctors, medical secretaries, and occupational and physiotherapists work closely together. With us, you will work daytime, Monday to Friday, in a nice and modern environment with pleasant and competent colleagues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will have a stimulating and varied job within both outpatient and acute flow. The work is diverse and takes place in close collaboration with other professionals in the team. The needs of the patients sometimes require us to meet them at home or in other locations.

As a nurse with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Assessing and planning care based on the patient's needs
• Following up and evaluating treatments and interventions
• Working in the acute patient flow at the clinic
• Contributing the somatic perspective in psychiatric care
• Collaboration with various community partners
• Patient counseling and psychoeducation
• Contributing the nursing perspective in team work

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a warm personality who enjoys teamwork.

You are a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have specialized training in psychiatry, experience in outpatient work, and experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities.
