About us

The Heart Clinic and the Thoracic and Cardiology departments are part of area 6 at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Here, there is a complete range of cardiac care, from regional to nationally highly specialized healthcare. We offer patients a complete care chain from acute management, care, and treatment to planned care with follow-up. The cardiology department consists of three wards with different specializations, two day care units, a research unit, intervention, and an outpatient clinic.

The Heart Clinic is a specialist clinic in cardiology where patients are offered a complete range of specialist care with high competence. We are particularly proud of the nurse/BMA-based specialist clinics that we have created together.

We who work at the Heart Clinic are doctors, nurses, biomedical analysts, and nursing assistants. We excel in investigating, treating, and caring for patients with various heart diseases. With our different competencies, we complement each other, which provides good opportunities for a value-creating meeting with the patient. We place great value on professional development, and when employed with us, there are excellent opportunities for further education.

What can a workday look like?

You will work variably and independently with your own pacemaker clinic where you monitor the function of the patient's pacemaker. The work as a pacemaker/device nurse also includes follow-up of the patient's remote monitoring and telephone advice. We also serve other units in the hospital regarding pacemaker checks for patients, for example, in the emergency department or in connection with certain radiological examinations.

About you

We are looking for someone who wants a varied, stimulating, and challenging job. You are a licensed nurse or biomedical analyst and have experience or interest in cardiology.

Working in our pacemaker team requires that you find it exciting to work with different digital systems and technology. We handle various advanced pacemakers, and the onboarding occurs gradually for the different systems. There is always an experienced colleague to consult. If you want a job where you can develop over a long time and gain in-depth knowledge in arrhythmia and pacemaker treatment, you may be the one we are looking for. We do not require that you have worked with pacemakers before; there is an opportunity for further education here!

The work requires that you are flexible and have good prioritization and organizational skills, as well as experience with independent work. We expect you to have a strong patient focus and to be service-oriented and meticulous. Having good computer skills and experience working with various patient administrative systems is a given.

This position is a temporary contract, but there is a possibility for extension. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where engagement and good collaboration skills are prioritized. Interviews will be conducted continuously, so do not wait to submit your application.
