About Us

Mun-H-Center is a national orofacial knowledge center for rare health conditions and part of the specialist dental care within Folktandvården Västra Götaland.

We serve as a referral center for dental, health, and medical care both within the region and at the national level regarding children, adolescents, and adults with rare health conditions. Our clinically active teams consist of specialists in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, hospital dentistry, and speech therapy, as well as dental hygienists and dental nurses.

As part of Mun-H-Center's national mission, we gather, document, and disseminate knowledge about oral health, bite conditions, and orofacial function in various rare health conditions. In addition to clinical work, we also conduct research and teaching regarding the mentioned patient groups.

About the Job

As a speech therapist at Mun-H-Center, you will be responsible for assessment and interventions regarding orofacial functional impairments such as eating and chewing difficulties, saliva leakage, biting behavior, and speech motor difficulties in individuals with rare health conditions. Lectures, advice, and consultation to networks around individuals with rare health conditions are part of the job. You will work in interdisciplinary teams together with our specialists in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, and orofacial medicine at Mun-H-Center, as well as participating in Ågrenska's family stays (www.agrenska.se (http://www.agrenska.se)).

The position is a 1-year temporary position due to parental leave with possible extension.

About You

You are a licensed speech therapist with clinical experience working with orofacial functional impairments and rare health conditions. We prefer that you have documented further education in the area of orofacial function. Experience working with habilitation is an advantage, as is familiarity with working in a multiprofessional team.

You have knowledge, competence, and feel secure in your interactions with individuals with disabilities. You are interested in development both in your clinical work and in our joint efforts. As a person, you are self-driven, engaged, flexible, solution-focused, and have a good ability to plan and structure your work.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, which for us means that you have a positive outlook, a reflective working method, and work with clear anchoring in the assignment. You find it easy to collaborate, communicate, and see it as a strength to work in a team with others.
