Substitute Workers for the Night Patrol in Lerum Municipality

Lerum Municipality is known for its scenic locations with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects to grow significantly in the coming years. Lerum is only a 20-minute commute from Gothenburg and is currently undergoing a development-intensive period with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality is working to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.

Recently, Dagens Samhälle awarded Lerum the title of winner in the category of metropolitan municipalities (2025) - an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, healthcare, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business, and future factors like digitalization and civil preparedness. We are now a Super Municipality!

We are looking for substitute workers for the Night Patrol in Lerum Municipality.

As a substitute worker with us, you will be employed through Lerum Municipality's Staffing Unit. The assignments apply when regular staff are absent, which can be for both short-term shifts and longer substitutes.

This is how it works:

You will be intermittently employed (substitute) and receive ongoing requests for work shifts - sometimes with short notice (the same day), sometimes with longer notice. You indicate your availability in our digital booking system, where you can also express interest in specific shifts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Night Patrol, you provide support to care recipients in their own homes, based on individual needs and decided interventions. The work is largely independent, but you will have close collaboration and ongoing contact with colleagues and coordinators via phone.

The work involves visiting users throughout Lerum Municipality, both in central areas and in rural areas. You will often work alone, but sometimes together with a colleague.

The working hours are from 21:45 to 07:00.

Your work contributes to ensuring that care recipients have a safe, dignified, and meaningful everyday life, where well-being and quality of life are at the center. As night staff, you primarily perform planned care interventions and supervision and respond to safety alarms.

Common job responsibilities include:

  • Social care and conversations
  • Personal hygiene and care (e.g., showering and toilet visits)
  • Medication management according to delegation
  • Health and medical tasks in consultation with a nurse
  • Documentation in the digital system Treserva
