As a Platform Engineer at Axis Communications, you will be responsible for the operation and further development of a critical technical platform for artifacts, dependencies, and container images used in the CI/CD pipeline. This is a new, expanding role in the team, which means you will have the opportunity to set the structure, develop processes, and shape how the platform is managed going forward. RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will work with both on-prem and cloud-based platforms, where you will be responsible for operational reliability, upgrades, automation, and troubleshooting. You will be an important link between IT, DevOps, and development teams, working long-term to improve processes, automate repetitive tasks, and ensure that the platform is always available and stable.
Artifactory is a central platform for managing build artifacts, container images, and dependencies used in their CI/CD environments. The platform is business-critical and is used daily by people from various departments.
In summary, your days may consist of:
- Being responsible for the operation, monitoring, and availability of the platform
- Implementing automation that simplifies pipeline workflows
- Carrying out upgrades, patching, and improvements
- Troubleshooting complex issues related to infrastructure, networking, storage, and services
- Collaborating with development and DevOps around CI/CD flows
- Contributing to automation, testing, and Infrastructure-as-Code
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Has a post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as IT, systems, or computer engineering
- Has experience in operations and troubleshooting of services in Kubernetes environments
- Has experience with Linux-based systems
- Has experience with CI/CD flows
- Has an understanding of security, availability, and troubleshooting in distributed systems
- Communicates fluently in English
It is a merit if you have:
- Experience with artifact or package management platforms (e.g., JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, GitHub/GitLab Packages, or similar)
- Knowledge of container technology (Docker/OCI)
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Communicates fluently in Swedish
