IT Network Technician for the Systems and Infrastructure Unit

We are currently in the midst of an exciting digital transformation where data is one of our most important strategic resources. IT and its services are a vital and central function for the municipality's operations, and especially within IT systems and infrastructure, we need to ensure that sufficient expertise exists within the municipality so that we can effectively continue to develop and deliver the IT services that meet the needs of the operations while also working towards high security.

Your Role with Us

The position includes daily operations and 3rd-line support for Kristianstad Municipality's infrastructure services. As a network technician, you will also manage and develop our infrastructure services and perform configuration in Cisco networks together with the unit's other network technicians and IT architect. The role involves contact with all municipal operations and also our suppliers.

You will primarily work with networks and network communication (Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WiFi) but also other products and services related to our network environment such as security solutions, DNS management, documentation, and feasibility studies in contact with our operations and suppliers. As a network technician with us, you will also be part of our IT preparedness.

Who Are We Looking For?

You who are applying have a university degree in IT with documented knowledge in networking. We also want you to have one or more years of experience working with network products and services such as Cisco's networking and security products (Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center, and Cisco Firepower). Additionally, experience working with Datacenter, Storage, Linux, Intune, Infoblox, or security solutions like F5 Big IP is an advantage.

The ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English is required as documentation and communication are part of the job responsibilities. You need to have a B driver's license for manual transmission to easily get around our municipality when needed.

You find it easy to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally, which means you collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. We want you to be able to plan and organize your work and be good at setting goals, organizing, following up, and completing activities.
