About the workplace

The Economics and Management unit is located in the beautiful Maria Park in northern Helsingborg. We currently have 16 employees working with fees, invoicing, accounting, follow-up, analysis, budgeting, purchasing, etc. In the finance department, we have initiated an improvement process, which means we need to start thinking in new ways to meet future challenges in finance. This means that monitoring the external environment is becoming increasingly important as we want to help develop the future finance department.

Job responsibilities

To thrive with us, employees need to have a deep understanding of the finance department's most important task, which is to support our managers in the administration's mission - to deliver health and care to the residents of Helsingborg.

In your role as a controller, you will work with budgeting, forecasts, follow-ups, and year-end closings. The department's mission is to ensure that the administration's managers have relevant decision-making materials. The controller's role includes supporting operational and unit managers in their work and continuously educating them in finance, as well as being their partner in finance-related tasks.

In your work, it is important to create good relationships as collaboration with managers is based on trust and confidence. At the same time, as a controller, you should have a proactive role to develop financial analyses and follow-ups. As a controller with us, it is essential to understand the needs of those we serve and, based on that understanding, adjust the priorities that need to be made.

You will be one of a total of six controllers. The group works to develop the administration's financial work, where monitoring the external environment is an important part. There is a great opportunity to influence the controller's work through innovative thinking to embrace future expectations of the controller's role.

Qualifications

You have a university degree with a focus on finance. You have several years of experience in qualified financial work and experience in change management. Previous work experience in public administration is an advantage.

Additional information

The monthly salary for the position is around 45,000 – 48,000 SEK. We apply individual salary setting, and the offered monthly salary is based on education, experience, and competence.
