Rydsberg School has been selected to be a training school for the University of Gothenburg, which means we welcome many teacher students who do their internships with our skilled teachers. Our connection with the university helps our school stay updated with the latest educational research.

We work to adapt all teaching for students with special needs and have a well-functioning system to support students in need (flex units). Additionally, we have a special teaching group focused on promoting attendance and psychosocial pedagogical work.

We have increased staffing levels to avoid hiring external substitutes, ensuring that students only meet staff they have a relationship with.

We provide our students with extra movement that benefits their health and improves their ability to learn.

Rydsberg School offers education for grades 6–9 and is located in Lerum. The school has approximately 440 students divided into four working teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be an important piece of the puzzle in providing our students with high-quality and inclusive education. We believe in our students and know the difference that good teaching and respectful treatment can make.

We are now looking for someone who is qualified and has experience teaching Mathematics and Technology for grades 6-9 or Science for grades 6-9, and you will have mentorship for about 15 students in the same working team.

With us, you will enjoy a varied job where you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. Together with your colleagues, you will design a developing, safe, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus.

At Rydsberg School, you will work in teams and subject groups with truly competent colleagues and in close collaboration with our strong student health team, so that together and in good cooperation with guardians, we can make a difference for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a qualified teacher for teaching Mathematics and Technology for grades 6-9 or Science for grades 6-9. Which of these subject qualifications we fill depends on what the best candidate has for qualifications. We would like you to have a few years of teaching experience, but it is not a requirement for the position.

We seek someone with a positive attitude and good subject knowledge. You are flexible in the face of everyday and long-term changes that are part of the educational work. You have good collaboration skills and are good at building relationships. To motivate, inspire, and challenge students, your ability to show warmth and set boundaries is essential.
