Python Developer with Data Science Skills Wanted

We are now looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in Python development and multiple projects in OpenShift. Here you have a long-term assignment with an important Swedish infrastructure company that has a lot of exciting things going on.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Python developer with data science skills, the consultant will participate in various types of development projects and work on developing decision support to exercise strategic system responsibility. More concretely, the work will involve developing applications that enable more data-driven system planning and take a more complex power system into account. This is a collaboration with other data scientists in the Data Analytics unit and power system analysts in other units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct quantitative analyses and present results
• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of services
• Communicate with users and further develop services based on new needs
• Work with configuration and deployment of services
• Continuously improve deployed applications currently in use
• Platforms and technologies/languages used in the project are Python, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift. Version control of code and the CI/CD process is managed in Azure DevOps
• Participate in the management of the IT systems delivered by the project, where user support, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and further development are included, and assist in other IT management tasks as may be relevant in the future

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, technical physics, technical mathematics, or a similar technical engineering education
• Have at least 3 years of work experience in software development in Python
• Have practical experience from work with deployment and configuration to take code into production using the Kubernetes-based platform OpenShift, from at least 3 projects
• Have practical work experience in Machine Learning from at least 1 project where the result has been taken into production

• At least 2 years of experience as a full-stack developer
• Experience in developing decision support based on machine learning for TSO, DSO, or control room environments in at least 2 projects
