Work Environment Coordinator at Miva

Do you want to contribute to a safe working life in an organization that is crucial for society – every day, all year round?
Water and sewage, along with waste and recycling, are part of our everyday life.

Our main tasks are concrete, but it is also in our industry that significant investments are made. This is necessary because an important part of our infrastructure must function both today and far into the future.

Water is the world's most important food, and we have a responsible mission to ensure a clean and healthy future for millions of years to come. Therefore, our work must continuously develop in line with new conditions and challenges.

We are now looking for a Work Environment Coordinator who wants to continue and further develop our preventive work environment efforts, so that our employees can work safely, healthily, and sustainably – today and in the future.

About the Role

As a Work Environment Coordinator at Miva, you are a central and supportive resource in both the strategic and operational work environment efforts. You work closely with managers, the safety organization, HR, and other support functions, contributing to ensuring that work environment issues are a natural part of the organization's daily operations.

The position is located in the Quality and Environment unit, which is part of the Governance and Coordination department. Here, expertise in quality, safety, work environment, environment, property, IT/digitalization, HR, finance, and procurement is gathered – with a shared mission to support core operations.

Your Main Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for developing, coordinating, and following up on Miva's work environment efforts. Responsibilities include:

  • ensuring that the company's governing documents in the area are up to date, such as policies, guidelines, action plans, and work environment and environmental delegations.
  • supporting managers and operations in systematic and preventive work environment efforts
  • leading and participating in risk analyses, investigations, and follow-ups
  • compiling, analyzing, and reporting work environment statistics
  • having overall responsibility for the company's process for reporting and following up on risks and deviations through the IA system
  • being the convener of the safety committee and participating in safety rounds as needed
  • providing support within the company when contacting authorities regarding work environment issues
  • supporting HR in rehabilitation processes
  • driving and developing Miva's wellness and health-promoting efforts
  • working on the implementation of relevant AFS regulations and managing chemical registers
  • planning and conducting internal training within the work environment area

Who Are We Looking For?

Requirements for the Role

We are looking for someone who wants to work long-term and preventively with work environment issues in a socially important organization. You have the ability to create structure, build trust, and translate regulations into practical support in everyday life.

As a person, you work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your assignment, and find it easy to collaborate with different roles in the organization. You are attentive, solution-oriented, and confident in providing support and guidance on work environment issues. We also value a willingness to develop in the role and offer good collaboration and support to succeed in the assignment.

We see that you:

  • have relevant post-secondary education in work environment, health, safety, or equivalent (YH, university or college)
  • have several years of experience working with work environment issues, preferably from organizations with high demands for safety and regulatory compliance, such as in public sector, industry, or other socially important operations
  • have good knowledge of systematic work environment efforts and applicable legislation
  • can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as the role involves documentation, reporting, and collaboration with managers, safety organizations, and authorities
  • have a B driver's license

Meritorious

  • experience from water, waste, recycling, or other socially important operations
