About the Role

As this position is a summer temporary job, we hope you are available for work during June, July, and August. Securitas will assign you a schedule so you can plan your summer with both work and enjoyable activities in good time! Whether you want to work day or night, in a fast-paced or calm environment, Securitas has the job for you.

As a security guard, your main task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater powers than a guard and often work closely with our customers' staff on objects that are crucial to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but with great responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, at night or during the day. The length of shifts varies, but they are often scheduled in 12-hour shifts. Since we are an operation that is active every day of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

You will for example:

• Handle matters within your assignment area
• Ensure that no unauthorized persons have access to the objects
• Staff stationary objects as needed

Requirements

Requirements:

• Civil or military security guard training; if you have completed security guard training with the Armed Forces as part of the Armed Forces' basic training (GMU), it can be validated for civilian use. The security guard training, as well as GMU, must have been completed in 2016 or later, and your training certificate must not be older than five years at the time of application
• Have approved grades in Swedish and English from high school
• Class B driver's license
• Swedish citizenship
• Approved in security screening

It is an advantage if you also have:

• HAS training
• Complete guard training, VU1 and VU2
• Previous experience in monitoring protected objects, other monitoring, or security work.

For employment within Securitas Sweden AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by the County Administrative Board for employment in an authorized security company according to the Act (1974:191) on security companies (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security screening according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may also be relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved under the respective legislation, a background check will be conducted. The assessment concerns legal compliance, suitability, reliability, loyalty, and any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may come from you, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when evaluating suitability for each position.

Salary and employment conditions are based on the collective agreement between the employer organization Security Companies and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
