The task of a security guard is to monitor security objects and protect against sabotage, espionage, terrorist acts, and serious robbery. A security guard has special powers to inspect vehicles, conduct body searches, seize items, refuse entry, and detain individuals present at a security object. Security objects are operations that are vital for society to function in peace, crisis, or war. Examples of security objects include a nuclear power plant, an airport, or a military facility.

Job responsibilities: The work involves preventing and managing security risks, controlling access, and ensuring that unauthorized individuals do not gain access to protected areas. You are responsible for conducting person and vehicle checks, monitoring facilities, and patrolling to detect and avert threats.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone who has personal maturity and feels secure in the role of a security guard. Personal qualities are what determine the best fit. You should possess a high level of security awareness and social competence. We place great emphasis on your ability to work in a team, but we also expect you to independently identify and solve problems. To work at certain objects, a security clearance, in-depth check, and security interview will be conducted.

Requirements for applicants:

• In addition to the personal qualities we are seeking and describing in the various assignments, you need to meet basic requirements to qualify for the position:
• Be at least 18 years old before starting the assignment
• High school diploma
• Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing
• Driver's license B
• Civil security guard training (or military security guard training, completed from 2021 or later)

Preferred qualifications:

• Guard training (VU1 + VU2)
• Weapon training

The position is classified in a security class, which is why a security clearance will be conducted, and Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

Additionally, you must be without a criminal record, drug-free, have a stable economy, as well as good health and physical fitness to be employed at Avarn Security. To work as a security guard, a security guard approval from the County Administrative Board is also required (we will handle that application).
