We are now opening a completely new and unique LSS housing in the form of a service residence in Nacksta, Sundsvall Municipality, and are looking for engaged support assistants/caregivers/treatment assistants who want to help shape our operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of our team, you will play a central role in creating a safe, developing, and meaningful existence for the care recipients. Together with a social worker, nurse, and support educator, you will ensure that the needs of the care recipients are met in a structured and pedagogical manner, focusing on participation and independence.

The work is based on LSS legislation and other applicable guidelines, where the care recipient is at the center and is given influence over their interventions and activities to support an independent life.

Job Duties:

• Provide support, care, and assistance to individuals, as well as support participation in meaningful activities to strengthen individual resources.
• Work with documentation, implementation plans, follow-ups, and incident reporting.
• Structure and plan work according to the employer's established directives.
• Perform health and medical tasks delegated by a nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist.
• Follow work methods, routines, and guidelines.
• Actively participate in professional development and contribute to the development of the operations.
• Assist in the introduction of new staff and mentor students according to unit routines.
• Collaborate with the user's network, other staff, and external partners.
• Participate in meetings, goal-setting, and planning days and contribute ideas for improvements in the operations.
• Perform other relevant tasks as required.

The position also includes working during inconvenient hours.

The workgroup consists of:

A social worker, nurse, support educator, support assistants, and a unit manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with training as a support assistant, treatment assistant, or caregiver, or other training deemed equivalent.

Meritorious:

• Experience working with low-arousal approaches, clear pedagogical methods, and AAC & TAKK
• Driver's license (B)

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic computer skills. You should also have experience working in various operational systems, including ordering and registering information.
