Örnsköldsvik High School has two school buildings, Park School and Nolaskolan.

With us, a total of about 1800 students study across five university preparatory programs and ten vocational programs, as well as introductory programs and adapted upper secondary school. We are the first choice for the majority of the municipality's high school youth and have good study and well-being results.

Responsibilities

Being a special educator means that you would have a mission focused on students with problematic school absenteeism, being a resource to implement the supportive measures that we know are the right way to break isolation.

The social educator should be available as a resource and conduct, for example, home visits, contact parents, and write plans for students. Perhaps pick up, meet students, find alternative ways of socializing (walks, team meetings, etc.) and create sustainable schedules for these students.

The focus will be on:

• being a safe adult at school and being available to the students
• being there for students with absenteeism issues
• catching early signals
• mapping needs
• collaborating with mentors and student health

Qualifications

You need to have at least a 3-year behavioral science university education. Experience working with youth, preferably in educational settings, is an advantage.

A driver's license, category B, is also an advantage.
