Legal Advisors/Lawyers, Ministry of Climate and Enterprise
The Ministry of Climate and Enterprise is responsible for issues related to climate, environment, energy, business, and innovation. The ministry has two legal secretariats. We are now seeking legal advisors/lawyers for the legal secretariats to provide legal services to the ministry.
Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.
Each legal secretariat has about 20 employees. The tasks include participating in legislative work and solving related problems. You will work with national legislation, including writing legal council memos, bills, departmental memoranda, and legislative texts. As a legal advisor/lawyer, you will provide legal services to the ministry and participate in quality assurance of the ministry's products. The work may also involve EU work and some participation in international negotiations.
Learn more about our operations at www.regeringen.se (http://www.regeringen.se).
Your background
We are looking for someone with a law degree and who is a court of appeal or administrative court assessor or has experience in qualified legal work that we assess as equivalent. It is an advantage if you have experience in legislative work within the Government Offices, in the investigative services, or at an authority. Knowledge of any of the ministry's areas of responsibility is also an advantage. The work requires you to express yourself very well in both spoken and written Swedish and have good knowledge of English.
Your qualities
You are analytical and can quickly grasp complex legal issues and summarize, illustrate, and present them in an accessible and pedagogical way. The criteria for employees in the Government Offices are wholeness, development, and results. This means that you need to have a holistic view and collaborate for the best of the organization. You are expected to contribute your perspective and expertise while being open to others. You bring ideas and new approaches to improve and develop the organization and your own competence. You drive your processes forward, achieve results, and adapt when needs and directions change. Sometimes the work is conducted with high intensity and under time pressure, which also requires your ability to be self-sufficient within given time frames while maintaining efficiency and quality. You must be a Swedish citizen but may have a foreign background.
We place great importance on personal qualities.
Other
We offer one or more positions. For those who are assessors with employment in the courts, a 6-year appointment as a legal advisor will be offered. For those who do not have employment in the courts, a permanent position with an initial 6-month probationary period will be offered. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. The workplace is primarily in Stockholm, but there may also be opportunities for remote work with regular travel to the office in Stockholm.
Are you interested?
If you want to know more about the work and what we offer, contact one of the heads of the legal secretariat, Anna Josefsson at 08-405 48 86 or Linnéa Klefbäck at 08-405 21 27. You are also welcome to contact recruitment specialist Isabel Åkermark at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]). Union contacts are Johan Strokirk for Saco and Ivian Paulino Lorenzo for ST. You can reach them via the Government Offices switchboard, 08-405 00 00. We welcome calls from those interested in the job, but we decline calls from those selling ads and recruitment services.
Welcome to register your application in our recruitment tool by February 25, 2026.
