Do you want to develop both technically and as a leader – and have the opportunity to influence people, processes, and results early on?

Essity – a leading global hygiene and health company with brands such as Libero, TENA, Libresse, Tork, Sorbact, and JOBST is now offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for you who want to contribute with your skills, energy, and creativity as we are looking for two recent engineering graduates for our Manufacturing Trainee Program at the factory in Lilla Edet. This is a chance for you who want to build a long-term career in production, sustainability, and innovation – and who thrive in a role where collaboration and drive are at the center.

A role for future leaders

We are looking for you who have a natural leadership ability. You take initiative, create engagement, and enjoy working together with others. You are a good communicator and find it easy to get others on board. Even without a formal managerial role, you demonstrate leadership through accountability, clear communication, and by driving improvements and changes in everyday life. You have a structured approach and can see new opportunities based on data and implement them.

About the program

Essity's Manufacturing Trainee Program is a permanent position with a structured development program lasting 9–12 months. You start as an operator on shifts to gain a deep understanding of our processes and machines, and then proceed in a structured development program as a process engineer stationed in your future department while learning our standardized work methods.

During the program, you will:

  • Work with TPM, systematic problem-solving, and continuous improvements
  • Analyze production data and drive improvement projects
  • Develop through internal training and close collaboration with experienced colleagues

As part of the trainee program, there will be an opportunity to work for about 3 months at our factory in Mannheim, Germany, to gain a deeper understanding of the processes and problem-solving.

After completing the program, you will transition to a permanent position as a process engineer at the factory in Lilla Edet.

Who you are

  • Recent engineering graduate (bachelor's or master's, max 18 months since graduation)
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Analytical, curious, and data-driven
  • A team player with a desire to develop in leadership
  • Work experience is not a requirement, but internships in a manufacturing environment are advantageous

Start: Spring/Summer 2025

Application:

Please apply in Swedish via our career page.

Please note that due to GDPR, we do not accept applications via email.

We will conduct drug and alcohol tests on candidates we wish to offer the position to before an employment contract can be signed.

Selection and interviews of candidates will begin after the application deadline.

At Essity in Lilla Edet, you will become part of a family-like workplace where you can start your career with developing tasks and good support. We value new perspectives, and here you are encouraged, as someone early in your career, to question, test new ideas, and contribute to smarter and more sustainable ways of working. You will receive security, support, and at the same time, a clear mandate to influence, develop, and grow within Essity – in an organization that actively builds the next generation of technical leaders.
