Healthcare Facility Developer at Region Gotland

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

HSF Agreements and Supply

The HSF Agreements and Supply department's mission is to support healthcare through business acumen, coordination, and expertise in the supply of goods, services, investments, healthcare facilities, competitive operations, and environmental and safety issues.

Here, you work together with healthcare operations, other parts of Region Gotland, and Region Stockholm.

The Gotland healthcare system is facing several extensive facility development projects. Visby Hospital was largely renovated in the early 90s and is in great need of expanded and adapted space to meet medical, technical, and operational development. Primary care has extensive needs for facilities where capacity and suitability must be met. Additionally, there is an increased need for robustness in healthcare facilities due to the current global situation. Therefore, facility planning and development will be a major focus in the coming years.

Your Responsibilities

As a healthcare facility developer, you primarily work on developing and standardizing healthcare facilities based on care processes. You coordinate, plan the work, and otherwise support the operations in various facility-related issues. You will have a particular focus on healthcare facility development related to robustness-enhancing measures and preparedness issues, even though this will also be done together with other colleagues.

The facility supply plan is a central part of your work, and based on needs, evidence, planning principles, assignments, and legal requirements, you ensure that the design is aimed at achieving optimized, suitable, and cost-effective facilities. Based on current conditions, you will work with the operations to create needs analyses, departmental functional programs, room functional programs, investigations, etc. For this, you will use the system support "Program for Technical Standards", PTS.

In your role, you coordinate and support all phases of the projects. As part of this, you will be a presenter in meetings with relevant operations and project groups.

You stay updated in your area of expertise and participate in environmental monitoring to then convey your knowledge about the importance of facilities and healthcare environments for the operations in their development work.

You are responsible for ensuring that documentation related to the projects is prepared and registered and for regularly informing relevant operations and healthcare neighbors.

You also have close collaboration with the technical and community planning administration, thus serving as a link between the healthcare operations and the technical side of the projects.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with experience working in healthcare, preferably with experience in facility planning. Alternatively, we are looking for an architect or interior architect with experience in healthcare facility projects and an interest in healthcare facilities. Understanding the significance of facilities for the development of an operation is a prerequisite for the position.

You have a relevant university education for the assignment and experience leading change efforts in project form and/or operational management.

It is advantageous if you have prior knowledge of PTS and can work with technical documentation and drawings in tools such as Bluebeam Revu.

You should have good analytical skills, be accustomed to working goal-oriented, and possess good collaboration skills. Since administration, documentation, and information are important parts of your work, you need to be an experienced administrator and have good communication skills, expressing yourself well in both speech and writing.
