HR Generalist at Gotlands Regiment

Gotlands Regiment is looking for an HR Generalist with primary responsibilities in the area of occupational health and safety for the HR Department at the Regiment Staff.

HR Department

The HR Department is responsible for all HR processes at Gotlands Regiment. Your immediate supervisor is the HR Manager, and some of your closest colleagues are the HR Chief and HR Generalist. We provide HR support to the entire organization through advice and governance.

Main Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist in Occupational Health and Safety, you will support managers at all levels in conducting systematic occupational health and safety work in physical, psychosocial, and organizational environments according to the established routines of the Armed Forces and the unit. You will be our expert resource in occupational health and safety legislation and will work on developing our routines in the area as well as handling individual occupational health and safety issues and reporting incidents, accidents, and health issues. You will conduct analyses of the results from our recurring employee surveys and deviation reporting and develop action plans as needed. You will plan and implement occupational health and safety activities, coordinate and conduct training and investigations, part of which includes planning and collaborating for the occupational health and safety committee four times a year. You will work on equal treatment issues and unwanted behavior and be prepared to work operationally with additional processes commonly found in HR, such as recruitment and rehabilitation. The Armed Forces is experiencing strong growth, which means that the tasks may evolve over time.

You should be able to independently and in collaboration with other functional representatives perform development and follow-up work in the area of occupational health and safety. You will also participate and represent P 18 in networks with other occupational health and safety officers within the Armed Forces. Additionally, you are responsible for keeping yourself updated on occupational health and safety legislation and developments in the area to ensure that work and support are always conducted in accordance with current legislation.

Qualifications

  • University degree in HR or equivalent higher education that the employer deems equivalent
  • Documented work experience in occupational health and safety work. Knowledge of both theoretical and practical occupational health and safety work, as well as experience in consultative work primarily with managers at various levels
  • Experience in HR work
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
  • Good computer skills
  • Driver's license (B)

You are positive, trustworthy, and have a good ability to create contacts. We see that you have the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in various group constellations.

You have an analytical, driven, and communicative approach based on central governance and goals. You have the ability to convey your knowledge in the area of occupational health and safety to the organization's managers in a pedagogical manner through both training and developed routines. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

MERITORIOUS

  • Advanced university or college studies in occupational health and safety and occupational health and safety law
  • Experience within the Armed Forces or other public or state work.
  • Experience in conducting training

Gotlands Regiment was re-established on January 1, 2018, to strengthen the Armed Forces' presence on the strategically important island. Since 2020, conscripts have been trained again at P 18, and the unit will gradually be given more capabilities until 2030.
