In 2026, the Swedish Transport Administration plans to start some of the major contracts for the Norrbotniabanan railway between Umeå and Skellefteå. Therefore, we need to strengthen our team with several project engineers who, together with our project managers and other skilled employees, will drive the construction of the Norrbotniabanan.

Project Engineer for Norrbotniabanan

In the role of project engineer, you will have an active role with our suppliers in both contract and technical forums. You will be responsible for driving, coordinating, and developing our working methods, including risk management, minute-taking, financial follow-up, reporting, and administration of our digital structure. In other words, you will have an important key role with a wide range and variation in tasks.

Examples of job responsibilities:

• Provide support to project managers with minutes, meeting bookings, and other administrative tasks
• Follow up on project finances and manage invoices
• Check and update schedules and project plans
• Work with risk management
• Manage the project's digital structure and documentation environment
• Minute-taking
• Project reporting

The work location is Skellefteå or Luleå.

Who are you?

You are structured and enjoy working according to clear processes, while also being able to prioritize in large flows and quickly analyze what is needed to move the project forward. You take responsibility for your work and plan and organize effectively to meet set deadlines. You have an unpretentious approach and actively contribute to the common goals.

We are looking for someone who has

• a university or college degree of at least 180 credits in construction and civil engineering, urban development, or urban planning. Alternatively, other education combined with experience that we consider equivalent
• some years of current and relevant experience in project management, project planning, or project administration in infrastructure or urban development projects. Alternatively, other experience that we consider equivalent
• good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• a valid driver's license (B category)

It is meritorious if you have

• experience from railway projects
• relevant experience in handling large amounts of information and high documentation requirements
• experience from large projects with many stakeholders and significant coordination that we consider relevant for the position
• current experience with one or more of the following systems: Project Wise, Projektportalen, and/or Equis
