Do you want to play a central role and drive projects in urban environments or industry? With us, it's possible.

Introduction WSP is involved in many exciting community development projects, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to shape how a sustainable society can be designed. To meet the market's increased demand for our services, we now need to expand our Community Design section with Project Managers based in the North. We are currently looking in Luleå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall, and Östersund.

About the position As a project manager, you will work independently to drive our projects from start to finish with the customer at the center. You are comfortable leading others and developing both your colleagues and the business. For us, collaboration is the foundation of everything we do, and we see that you are communicative and can get different groups to work towards the same goal. The projects often involve many disciplines and consist of everything from smaller street assignments to large infrastructure projects in all phases, from early analyses and feasibility studies to construction documents.

We work with continuous improvement and aim to continuously seek innovative ways to improve ourselves. Therefore, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to ensuring that we as consultants can provide our clients with quality-assured deliveries, while clarifying work methods and resource planning, and giving our employees the best conditions for personal development as well as a long-term sustainable work environment.

In our assignments, you will come into contact with colleagues from all disciplines, where you together contribute your expertise to find future-proof solutions in infrastructure and community building.

Your profile We are looking for someone who currently works as a project manager or design manager. You are likely educated as a civil engineer or a university engineer in community building or similar, or you have equivalent industry-related work experience. Experience with description techniques (AMA), AF parts, TB/MF, Bas-P, and scheduling is an advantage.

At WSP, we have a strong focus on helping our clients with sustainable urban development, planning smart and sustainable cities with a focus on climate adaptation, among other things. If you are driven by these issues, we believe it is a plus and that you will thrive even more.

As a person, we see that you enjoy working purposefully and that you are confident in leading others. We value good communication skills and a business-like approach. We work in a global corporation where we assemble teams across borders for assignments, so it is important that you are comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English.

We offer To our team in the North, we are now looking for project managers in land and street design with experience working on multidisciplinary, complex projects in urban environments or within industry. With us, you will be part of a competent department with wonderful colleagues. The demand for our services is high, and we therefore need to grow. Community Design North consists of about 40 employees with expertise in streets, land, measurement technology, physical planning, and environment. The department has offices in Luleå, Skellefteå, Umeå, Örnsköldsvik, Sundsvall, and Östersund.

Nationally, we are 300 employees working in community design and have several internal networks for knowledge sharing and support. There is a strong sense of community, and we help each other with both technical issues and staffing assignments. Our main clients are municipalities, contractors, industries, and developers. We work, among other things, with several large industrial investments in northern Sweden, parts of the new subway, and new city districts, but we also care about our smaller projects in both the public and private sectors. We also work nationally with our colleagues across the country.

Application deadline Selection and interviews are ongoing, but we would like to receive your application by February 28, 2026, at the latest. The position may be filled before the application deadline has expired, so send in your application today!
