You are well acquainted with the current curriculum and are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching while promoting the students' learning and development.

We are looking for a teacher for home economics instruction in grades 6-9, starting in the autumn term of 2026. You will also be a mentor in a class together with a colleague. In the role of educator, you are a clear leader and constantly work to find different ways to create engagement and participation among your students. Your communication skills are excellent, and you have well-functioning relationships with both students and guardians.

As a person, you are resourceful, responsible, and solution-focused. You have a strong commitment to learning and school development and actively work to promote collegial learning. You find it easy to collaborate with your colleagues but also enjoy working independently.

About the Workplace

Nyvångskolan F-9 belongs to educational area 4 in Lund Municipality and is centrally located in the picturesque Dalby. The school has about 900 students, 150 employees, four after-school care departments for students in grades F-3, and an after-school club for students in grades 4-6, as well as adapted primary school grades 4-9. The school buildings are surrounded by green areas with many trees, bushes, and lawns where students have the opportunity to play and engage in sports during their breaks and scheduled movement sessions every day.

For us at Nyvångskolan, it is important that students feel a desire to learn and have influence over their own learning, both during school hours and in after-school care. Student democracy has long been the school's profile, and we work a lot with student influence through various student-led councils that drive specific issues and development areas. In the councils, students and teachers discuss issues related to the working environment, teaching, friendship, and health together.

Nyvångskolan's overarching development work focuses on School for Sustainable Development and making the learning environment accessible for all our students, thereby creating the best possible conditions for participation, learning, and safety. As an employee at Nyvångskolan, you are an integral part of the school's collegial development work. New ideas and perspectives are always welcome, and we offer all educators professional development.

In the child and school administration, we work to create equity and good conditions for all children and students within our preschools, primary schools, and adapted primary schools to achieve their goals. Together, we work for a unified and clear governance of preschool and school in a modern and efficient organization, aiming to enable world-class education. Our ambitions are high, and we always strive to create good conditions for development and ensure high quality in our operations.

To work with children or students in preschool and school, you must be able to present an acceptable extract from the criminal record.
