LAH is a service within Primary Care in eastern Östergötland. We provide specialized home healthcare around the clock for patients with tumor diseases and other chronic conditions in need of specialist palliative care and extensive medical interventions. To provide as comprehensive care as possible, we also have an inpatient unit located in the medicine department 3, where we also have an outpatient clinic for outpatient care. We also conduct consultancy services.

Job Description

As a specialist or resident doctor within LAH Norrköping, you will work in one of our teams and create a safe patient-centered specialist palliative comprehensive care in collaboration with other care providers. The work is primarily located within home healthcare. Currently, there is a team for patients with malignant diseases and severe heart and lung diseases, an inpatient unit, and an outpatient clinic for palliative interventions. We also conduct a consultative service for other healthcare providers in the hospital, primary care, and municipalities. Development is continuously ongoing within the framework of close care. We can also offer mentorship competence if interested in research.

As a resident doctor, you will receive guidance from an experienced colleague and a clear plan for your education. Daily work at the clinic also includes mentoring medical students from the medical faculty, and we continuously have resident doctors from other medical specialties who are training in specialist palliative home healthcare.

Work Group

We work in multiprofessional teams with doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, family therapists, and social workers to achieve a holistic view, create flexibility, and individual care solutions. We collaborate with hospital clinics throughout Region Östergötland, primary care, and municipalities in the eastern part of the county.

About You

We are looking for someone interested in specialist palliative medicine. Previous experience in palliative care is an advantage, but not a requirement. If you have an interest in research and education, we view this very positively. You have a B driver's license and speak and write Swedish fluently.

You have a strong interest in palliative medicine/care regardless of the patient's diagnosis and see opportunities in the development of care outside the hospital. You are curious, open to change, and enjoy working in a team. A structured approach and personal security are also important.

The position is a permanent employment at the medicine clinic LAH with a start date as soon as possible by agreement and may initially also be a residency block in palliative medicine.
