Who is Svekon?
At Svekon, you get to be part of where it happens - from a need and a prototype to a finished solution. With 50 years in the industry, Svekon continues its success journey as the engineering firm working for a better tomorrow. Today, they offer services in software development, electronic design, industrial design, and regulatory and technical documentation. Svekon is located in modern and vibrant premises in Solna, where both office and workshop are under the same roof. This way, you are never far from the technology – regardless of your role at Svekon.
What does the role entail?
As an electronics developer, you will work with exciting clients and products across several industries such as Medtech, consumer products, automation, and defense and security. Your work will primarily be carried out at Svekon's office but may also include work at the client's site or at one of Svekon's other two locations. You will work on both small and large projects, often in cross-functional teams with mechanical designers, industrial designers, systems engineers, and project managers.
Examples of tasks:
Design and develop electronic constructions (both analog/digital)
Schematic design and PCB layout as well as prototype development (assembly/soldering, bringup)
Testing and verification (function, performance, environment, EMC)
Requirements work and documentation throughout the development cycle
You will also contribute with some sales support during client meetings, e.g., by assisting with technical details, identifying new needs, and presenting solution proposals.
We are looking for someone with a few years of experience in:
Analog and digital electronic design
Schematic design and layout
Designs with microprocessors, sensors, and power supply
Hands-on work such as component assembly and working with prototypes
Hardware testing and verification (performance, environmental requirements, and EMC)
Analysis, calculations, and simulations
We prefer that you have a university degree or a master's degree in electronics or equivalent, or a technical high school education with solid industry experience.
As a person, you are curious, creative, enjoy solving problems, and learning new things. You thrive on variety and have a broad technical background in electronics rather than specialized expertise. You are social and enjoy discussing technical solutions, whether internally within the team or at the client's site.
It is a plus if you have experience in:
Hardware-near programming, e.g., C
Programming in Windows environment, e.g., C#.NET, Python, or MATLAB
Radio and antennas
Industrialization, from concept to finished product
Working in Altium Designer
Adjacent areas such as mechanical design and electrical design.
Working with AI, e.g., ChatGPT or Claude
