We belong to the care and social administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö municipality. With us, about 800 employees work to support our residents in all stages of life. We work with elderly care, social psychiatry, disability support, and individual and family care. We always put the individual's needs at the center. In Lidingö, you have the advantage of working close to central Stockholm but with the benefit of short decision-making paths and close collaboration – both within the unit and with external actors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a child secretary, you will follow up to ensure that the children placed in foster homes are doing well and having their needs met. You will have close collaboration with foster home secretaries as well as other colleagues in the team and in the area. We work with Signs of Safety as an approach, and you share the view of actively working with the child's access to their family and network, even when a home move is not possible.

Your role as a child secretary will be to ensure that our children and young people's voices are heard. Both regarding their own care and to help us in the continued development of our foster care.

This winter, we will continue to work on how we follow up on our placed children's schooling and further address the issue of aftercare. We believe these are very important questions! If you share our views, we look forward to your application!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. You have experience in the social services' authority regarding children and youth. You may have experience in following up on the care of placed children. You have good knowledge of the applicable legislation in the area. You have very good skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and find it easy to communicate.

As a child secretary, you find social work enjoyable and important. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You are also attentive and have good collaboration skills. As a person, you act calmly in stressful situations and can empathize with others without taking over.

The city applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
