Make a Difference. Every Day.

At Medicine Department 4, we welcome new colleagues who want to work with us in bright and fresh facilities overlooking Pildammsparken in Malmö!

Internal medicine inpatient care in Malmö is conducted within the area of acute care and internal medicine as a joint operation with Skåne University Hospital in Lund. Our patients primarily come from the emergency department and the acute care unit, but also directly from home for further investigation and treatment. Common diagnoses include heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), infections, and diabetes.

The Medicine Department has collectively created an inclusive and welcoming work environment in a positive spirit. Here, you will find engaged colleagues who welcome questions and are eager to share both knowledge and experiences. We have nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors working in teams alongside occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and pharmacists. The teamwork between nursing assistants and nurses in daily care work is the foundation of the department's operations, but it is the close collaboration with all professional roles that is crucial for the patient.

On the department, we have a specialist nurse who works with the team in complex care situations. There are also experienced nurses acting as team supervisors and experienced nursing assistants providing competency support. These roles are available in daily, patient-facing work to support and develop staff in their professional roles.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will often encounter complex and exciting care processes in a changing environment, where your expertise allows you to make a significant difference for the patient. Care is tailored individually to the patient and characterized by continuity, participation, and professional interaction with both patients and relatives. Our goal is to increase patient participation and enhance their knowledge about their illness and treatment.

Our work climate is characterized by mutual support across the boundaries of care professions, and we place great importance on good planning and clear routines. We have strong teamwork with shared decisions where you have the opportunity to help build a culture around person-centered care. For us, it is important that the values of Region Skåne permeate our care and work environment.

We continuously work to enhance employees' competencies so that you can grow and develop. For newly graduated nurses, we offer a clinical foundation year that includes lectures and clinical skills training. If you are interested in specialization, we also offer a number of training positions where education is combined with clinical work over two years, in addition to educational benefits in prioritized areas. We also have experience in student supervision, and there is an opportunity for supervisor training.

The positions are temporary for one year with the possibility of permanent employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare, whether newly graduated or an experienced nurse. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Supervisor training and/or previous experience in supervising students is an advantage.

We value a humble approach towards both patients and colleagues. Furthermore, we see that you are engaged and want to contribute with a future-oriented working method. For a fruitful collaboration, we also expect you to have a flexible approach, good prioritization skills, and the ability to make independent decisions. Personal suitability and a genuine interest in working in internal medicine are highly valued.

In this recruitment, we apply continuous selection. We warmly welcome you to submit your application today!
