The psychiatric clinic for psychosis/PTSD provides specialized psychosis care and specialized treatment for complex PTSD. The clinic employs caregivers, nurses, specialist doctors, psychotherapists, family therapists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, secretaries, and a unit manager. The clinic has four different knowledge teams that delve into various areas. One team works with basic assessments of new patients, another team works with young adults experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time. The third team is tasked with developing and conducting treatment for individuals with complex PTSD, and the fourth team works on developing care content for psychotic patients who require longer-term care.

We have a close collaboration with inpatient care and are developing an integrated approach in our care chain.

In matters concerning housing, employment, or other support, we collaborate with municipalities and/or other relevant agencies.

About Our Job Opening

We work based on a structured treatment plan that currently mainly includes psychoeducational interventions and trauma-focused psychotherapy (PE, EMDR, and CPT). The PTSD team actively works on implementing new findings and offers intensive treatment for complex PTSD as part of the treatment options.

The psychologist's tasks also include assessment and evaluation in cases of suspected neuropsychiatric disorders or personality disorders of patients in their own clinic as well as at the clinic level. The work is conducted individually and in collaboration with other team members. Treatment contacts can be individual, involve the patient's family/relatives, or consist of various groups.

Your Profile

You who are applying are a licensed psychologist/psychotherapist. If you have experience in PTSD treatment and/or have training in evidence-based methods for PTSD treatment, it is an advantage. You have an interest and competence in treating and assessing patients with complex PTSD and treatment-resistant PTSD. Since part of the work involves developing our PTSD care based on the latest research, you should have an interest in development work.

You need to have a driver's license as we have a large catchment area and home visits may occur.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability as our interdisciplinary teamwork requires good collaboration skills, a holistic view, flexibility, and an ethical approach. We are looking for someone who, with their knowledge and commitment, wants to make a difference.

The position is a permanent employment within the adult psychiatric clinic, located at the psychiatric clinic for psychosis/PTSD. We prioritize everyone's safety and require a background check from the criminal record for all who are offered employment with us.
