The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse issues. SiS Youth Home Fagared receives non-compulsory school-age boys with psychosocial problems, criminal behavior, and substance abuse. We have departments in Lindome, Öxnevalla, and Gothenburg.
Job Description
We are now looking for two nurses to join us at SiS Youth Home Fagared, Lindome unit. As a nurse at SiS Youth Home Fagared, you will be part of our health and medical care organization together with other nurses, psychologists, and consulting doctors. You will have an independent, stimulating, and challenging job where you make a difference for young people with various somatic and mental health issues.
You will have overall responsibility for patient-centered and qualitative health and medical care work. This is an independent, stimulating, and challenging job that includes health conversations, nursing, documentation, medication management and administration, as well as emergency medical interventions. In addition, you will also coordinate medical interventions such as doctor contacts, contacts with care neighbors in outpatient and inpatient care, and assess and perform actions based on doctors' orders. In the institution, you will collaborate with other professional groups such as doctors, treatment secretaries, unit managers, psychologists, and treatment pedagogues.
Qualifications
We will place great emphasis on your personal suitability as the position involves a significant amount of independent work while also requiring high demands on your ability to collaborate with others in the team and your ability to meet young people with complex issues. You need to be clear, stable, and stress-resistant.
- You must be a licensed nurse.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
- As a person, you are flexible, committed, meticulous, and have a good ability to work independently.
- Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
- Further education or experience in psychiatry, primary care, e.g., district nurse or school nurse is particularly meritorious.
Employment:
Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.
Start date according to agreement.
