Södra Älvsborgs Hospital is making long-term investments and focusing on the development of modern psychiatry in new facilities in the Psychiatry Quarter!

The psychiatric area includes services within adult psychiatry as well as child and adolescent psychiatry.

About us

BUP Borås provides care to children and adolescents under 18 years of age with severe mental health issues such as depression, severe anxiety, impulsivity and aggressive behavior, social interaction difficulties, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders. The clinic assesses, evaluates, and treats children and adolescents living in Borås, Bollebygd, Ulricehamn, and Tranemo. We collaborate with child health clinics, social services, schools, and several other partners in the field.

At our clinic, we have doctors, psychologists, CBT therapists, nurses, social workers, special educators, dietitians, mental health assistants, medical secretaries, and unit managers. Patients coming to our clinic should feel very welcome, cared for by attentive and knowledgeable staff.

BUP Borås is in an active phase of development work, which requires commitment and perseverance. We aim to continuously improve our methods and strategies to effectively and optimally help our patients.

We offer supervision, regular professional meetings, and opportunities for professional development. It is important for us to facilitate the balance between work, leisure, and family life. Therefore, we offer flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely. The workplace is located in Borås. There are good bus connections between Gothenburg and Borås, with the bus stopping right at Södra Älvsborgs Hospital.

About our job opening

As a licensed psychotherapist, you will work closely with other professionals at the clinic to drive and develop the unit towards set goals. Your responsibilities include assessments and treatments of various psychiatric conditions. Together with other colleagues and staff with specific expertise and experience at the clinic, you are expected to stay updated on current knowledge and contribute to the clinic working based on evidence and proven experience. Your tasks will also include supervision and support for less experienced colleagues.

Your profile

We are looking for a licensed psychotherapist with a strong interest in child and adolescent psychiatry. You should have experience working with children, adolescents, and families. You have a strong clinical commitment, good ability to collaborate, and reflect on your own and others' practices.

We have a psychodynamic, neuropsychological, systems-theoretical, cognitive-behavioral, and medical perspective in our treatment work. You should be able to navigate between these fields in your work with the child/adolescent, their family, and network.

We also welcome your interest in working with digital methods and having basic IT knowledge.

We place great importance on integrity, collaboration skills, and personal suitability.

Other
