About our open position

With us, you are a key person and will join a great team that cares for each other and the organization.

As a resident physician (ST-läkare), you will be an integral part of the medical team and work closely with other professional categories in the clinic. Training and courses are provided both internally and externally, and we can offer a complete internal medicine training with opportunities for specialization in the following areas: internal medicine, cardiology, nephrology, hematology, diabetes and endocrinology, pulmonary medicine, and gastroenterology.

We offer scheduled supervision time, training, and study time. On-call duties are included in all specialties as part of the work and training.

About us

The medical department (VO) is one of the largest areas of the hospital and has a broad operation with specialists in general internal medicine, cardiology, hematology, pulmonary medicine, allergology, nephrology, gastroenterology, diabetes, endocrinology, and oncology. We have a significant educational mission with large parts of the medical curriculum for medical students based at SÄS. We are proud to call ourselves a university hospital unit, which signifies a quality stamp on our research and educational capacity.

The clinic is organized into three sections: Hematology/Oncology section, Pulmonary/Gastro/Endocrine section, and Cardiology section. Within the sections, there are medical directors, responsible senior physicians, and unit managers who lead the development of the work.

Our mission is to provide internal medicine and oncology care for the residents in our catchment area, and we do this with great and dedicated commitment.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license and proficiency in the Swedish language at level C1. If you have completed your foundation year (AT) at SÄS, that is an advantage. We place great emphasis on your communication skills and ability to collaborate. Furthermore, we see that you have a desire to contribute to the effective development of our operations and to maintain a positive work climate in our units. We will place great importance on personal suitability.
