We are looking for an operating room nurse for our highly specialized orthopedic clinic, Capio Ortho Center Gothenburg at Sahlgrenska Hospital in central Gothenburg. The position is a permanent daytime employment with time off every other Friday, focused on orthopedics, day surgery, and teamwork in a modern clinical environment.

About us Capio Ortho Center Gothenburg is one of the city's largest orthopedic clinics and is part of the Capio Orthopedics business area, a network of 13 orthopedic clinics in Sweden. Our elective operations include an operating room, a care department, and an outpatient clinic, with three modern operating theaters and a sterile unit. Each year, we perform approximately 2,500 orthopedic surgeries and work in a team-based dynamic and development-oriented environment where patient needs and medical quality are at the center. Patients come through care guarantees or insurance companies, and we prioritize continuity, medical quality, and short lead times. Our experienced team values knowledge exchange and supports each other in daily work. The clinic is located at Sahlgrenska Hospital, centrally in Gothenburg.

About the role In this position, you will work with preoperative and perioperative tasks within surgical nursing, day surgery, and orthopedic prosthetic surgeries. You will be part of a team that collectively takes responsibility for efficient and safe patient flows and is involved in quality assurance and development of routines. We collaborate closely and strive to continuously develop and learn from each other. You will receive an individually tailored introduction with a mentor and schedule to quickly get into the work.

Qualifications We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized training in surgical nursing. You have at least a few years of experience in surgical work, and it is an advantage if you have experience in arthroscopic surgery, day surgery, and prosthetic surgeries. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, solution-focused, and have a strong commitment to creating value for patients. You have good collaboration skills, drive, structure, and personal maturity.
