About the Role:

As a Controller, you will work closely with the Chief Controller and be a key player in the ongoing financial work. You will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in financial management and work with budgeting, reporting, and analysis for healthcare. Are you a driven economist with a strong interest in working in the public sector? Do you want to contribute to developing and improving financial management within healthcare in the Västernorrland Region? We are now looking for a Controller who will play an important role in supporting the finance team and ensuring effective and sustainable financial management for an operation with a budget of approximately 9 billion SEK.

Your main responsibilities:

• Ongoing monitoring and analysis of the organization's financial outcomes, both costs and revenues.
• Prepare and compile reports to support the Chief Controller and decision-makers.
• Participate in the work with budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Act as support for operational managers and be a contact person for financial questions.
• Participate in the development of financial processes and reporting tools.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in economics or finance.
• Several years of experience in financial management or accounting.
• Very good knowledge and experience in working with Excel, financial systems (we use Raindance), and decision support systems (we use Power BI).
• A very high ability to analyze large data sets.
• The ability to convey financial information in an easily understandable way.
• Experience in participating in/driving change initiatives.
