The Hand and Plastic Surgery Clinic at Norrlands University Hospital provides highly specialized hand and plastic surgery for patients in the northern region. Since 2015, the clinic has also provided national highly specialized care in hand surgery concerning brachial plexus injuries. Approximately 100 employees from various professions work within the clinic. We have a care department, an outpatient clinic, an operating department, a rehabilitation department, and a medical documentation department.

The Hand, Plastic and Eye Department is a surgical care department that includes inpatient and day surgery care places. Our patients are primarily adults. Many of the patients treated have undergone minor procedures and leave the department within a day, while some patients have undergone extensive surgery, requiring a high level of care.

We are a department with 29 employees where all professional categories work together for the best interest of the patient. We are close to each other, which allows us to have fun at work and maintain a good working environment. The work is characterized by a high work ethic, and all professional categories collaborate to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. We have recently moved into new and fresh premises!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

We offer you a varied and stimulating job in a team with joy at work. The work as a nursing assistant in our department involves a varied workload, including advanced dressings, circulation checks of flaps, monitoring vital parameters, sampling, and more. You will meet patients who have undergone minor procedures and leave the department within a day, as well as severely ill patients, both adults and children. You will work nights alongside a nurse and with a doctor on call.

With us, you will have an important and obvious role in the care team, and your work contributes to safe patient care of high quality.

We will develop an individual introduction plan together with you so that you can feel that you have a secure start and a good opportunity to learn the work with us.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant. If you have previous experience working in a care department, we consider that an advantage. Since nursing assistant is a protected title, you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a work certificate that shows you are covered by the transitional provisions of the National Board of Health and Welfare and can use the title until June 30, 2033.
