Lycksele Hospital is a small, modern, and well-equipped acute hospital with maternity services. The catchment area is Västerbotten's inland and mountain district. If you want to live close to nature, Lycksele is hard to beat! The area, which has 40,000 inhabitants, is as large as Switzerland.

The ICU is part of the Surgical Center of Southern Lapland. This also includes the operating department, central sterilization, anesthesia, surgical outpatient care, and surgical ward. Together, we are responsible for intensive care including HIA, postoperative care, and anesthesia. We also staff the county's ambulance helicopter. We have a good working climate and about 40 employees in various professions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an intensive care nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that makes people feel safe.

In this role, you are responsible for the care of intensive care patients with failure in their vital functions due to surgeries, accidents, or severe medical conditions. As we care for patients from many categories, our knowledge develops into a unique and broad knowledge base. You will collaborate closely with other professionals who together form a team around the patient and their relatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education in intensive care.

If you are a basic trained nurse with a few years of experience, you are also welcome to apply, as we will adapt the training according to your knowledge and previous experiences. However, you should have a clear stated goal of pursuing further education in the field.

Experience from working in an intensive care unit is meritorious, as is experience in emergency care. You have the ability to prioritize, are flexible and responsible. You have teamwork skills and see the benefits of collaboration while also possessing the ability to work independently. You also actively contribute to a good working environment.
