Job Advertisement: Nurse for the Neurology Department

At the Neuro-Head and Neck Center (NHHC), approximately 650 people work with various aspects of investigation, treatment, and rehabilitation of diseases and injuries affecting the nervous system, brain, ears, nose, throat, and maxillofacial surgery. Our operations are based on patients needing highly specialized care for northern Sweden.

We are now looking for a new colleague for the Neurology Department.

In the neurology department, we have both planned and acute operations where the patient is always the focus. We have a high patient flow, which means patients with short hospital stays. Patients receive high-quality care in a developing organization. The neurology department is an acute investigation and treatment department. We have two care teams with 12 beds each. Here, patients with various neurological diseases such as Parkinson's, Epilepsy, and Motor Neuron Diseases are cared for.

We apply a balance model (model 3). The model focuses on high participation in scheduling based on the needs of the operation (day, evening, night, weekend included) and approximately 20% higher financial compensation for inconvenient working hours than central collective agreements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel safe.

Your tasks are varied as the patient groups change. An important part of the job is to identify risks, assess, address, and evaluate the patient's various care needs. You should be able to work independently, have good collaboration skills, and be flexible in thought as well as action. You also thrive in a sometimes fast-paced environment. Together with the rest of the team (doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers), you will, like the rest of us, contribute to a good working environment where we all thrive.

You are offered a permanent position within Region Västerbotten with a temporary placement in the Neurology Department until 270831. There are good opportunities for extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with an interest in neurology and want to develop in your professional role.
